Gran Tour: Where Coffee Meets the Open Road
A Journey Fueled by Passion
For as long as I can remember, cars and coffee have been the two anchors of my life. Growing up in an Italian household, I was surrounded by both — my parents never started their day without espresso, and I never stopped dreaming about the machines that embodied Italian performance and style.
Today, I drive an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio — and without hesitation, I can say it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. The symphony of the twin-turbo V6, the perfect balance of performance and design, and the unmistakable cuore sportivo spirit make every drive an occasion. As an Italian, I carry immense pride in knowing this car is not just transportation but a celebration of our engineering heritage.
But like many enthusiasts, there’s always the one. For me, it’s the legendary Lancia Delta Integrale — my childhood dream car. The car that dominated rally stages and captured imaginations, including mine. One day, I’ll have one in my garage, parked proudly next to the Giulia. Until then, my Alfa gives me more than enough reason to smile every time I get behind the wheel.
Cars may be my passion, but coffee is my daily ritual. My journey with espresso began as a teenager — my parents would let me sneak a small taste before school, a tradition that mirrored their own routine of two espressos a day: one in the morning, and another in the late afternoon. Over time, espresso became more than a drink — it became part of my identity, part of what it means to live Italian.
Traveling through Italy only deepened that bond. Each café stop, each perfectly pulled shot, reminded me how espresso fuels not just the body, but the culture. It connects people, fuels conversations, and frames the day — much like a spirited drive along winding mountain roads.
Over the years, I’ve spent countless weekends at car shows, meeting fellow enthusiasts, swapping stories, and celebrating the machines we love. Alongside that, I’ve nurtured my love for coffee — learning, tasting, experimenting, and eventually creating my own blends inspired by the same Italian spirit that drives Alfa Romeo and Lancia.
For me, it all ties together: the thrill of the drive and the comfort of espresso. Both ignite passion. Both are timeless. And both will always be part of my Gran Tour.
